Making a gif

When we started making the gifs we were given a tutorial piece of a dancing racoon, the tutorial was based mainly around the compilation and final product. Creating frames from layers and exporting for web.

I decided to base my design on a classic 50's eye and modern lips to tie in the feeling of the band (being classic style 80s/90s music with a modern twist) I wanted to use this as my logo for the band and decided this cute gif would possibly be a way for the group to sign off emails.

I then decided I wanted to make the subject wink with hearts to make something that looks cute and inviting. I drew each frame individually and ended up with roughly 7 frames, these were all compiled with a 0 second delay between them, except for the last three which has a 0.5 second dither between them to make them stand out.

I really like how simple and effective the gif is however in the future I would add more frames to make a smoother transition and possibly make the microphone tail move to add more interest to the design.
