We create samples to be able to know how fabric will react and how we can use it.
A heat gun in textiles is used to manipulate and create texture in fabrics and various materials.
We can also use wax to create texture and felting creates a soft blended edge.
embroidery can be used to transfer patterns and shapes but also add texture unlike the shaving foam method which transfers the picture but not texture.
My favourite techniques are felting and embroidery due to the texture and dimension they both create. I hope to use these in the future to create more products
