Final Doll Photos

As mentioned on my artist research page I took inspiration from dollightfuls doll photography and did what she would usually do, by taking my dolls outside and taking pictures. I love the way natural light brings out the details and colours in the dolls and the way the green contrasts with all the outfits. In the future id like to take more photos where the dolls are interacting with more accessories to make the photos more interesting and advertise more the brand would have to offer.
When setting up my pieces for the show I tried to keep everything looking clean and professional. I wanted a sign piece with the title of the overall theme which I had as as well as all the pieces flowing into each other. I did this by having my manniquin next to my doll fashion on the wall and that transitioning into toys. However after we had set up a few days later we came in to find that parts of my project were covered in bird poo and had to be redone such as the colouring book and part of the lace from my doll. this prompted me to change the set up to the one you see below.
The new layout hasn't changed much; I changed around the playset and the colouring book as I feel like it needed more room and was easier to see if they were separated. I also feel like the colouring book on the table lends to people looking down at the advertisement for my Instagram. I advertised as when I came to the show last year I saw many artists I wanted to be connected with but didn't know how to contact them; I wanted to make myself accessible to those who wanted me safely and effectively so they only see my art. As well as this change my pieces on the wall were mounted for a cleaner and more sturdy look. As well as my dolls were slanted in at a 45-degree angle to add more interest to the set. I placed the aforementioned poo'd on doll on the box with the lace removed motioning to the sign above to add more interest but to also give a sense of the doll being alive much like children pretend to believe. Overall I'm happy with the quality of work I produced. I do believe I could have managed my time more effectively which is something I will work on for future projects as it is a key skill when working any job. below is a video of all my work with commentary regarding the project overall.
